#MODERN WARFARE 2 SURVIVAL MODE FULL# #MODERN WARFARE 2 SURVIVAL MODE PS4# #MODERN WARFARE 2 SURVIVAL MODE FULL# Speaking of a more robust player pool, for the first time Call Of Duty is going full cross-platform. For the first time ever, Call Of Duty will be cross-platform. Hopefully that doesn’t happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised.ĥ. As I’ve note elsewhere, it’s always possible that Activision will insert Supply Drops into the game at a later date. Worse, Activision would often include weapons in these loot boxes down the road, leading to mild pay-to-win scenarios that left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths.Īll that’s gone–at least for the time being–in Modern Warfare. You spend money on a gamble, hoping to get the cool stuff you want. Supply Drops, meanwhile, are just loot boxes by another name. This invariably leads to lower player counts on DLC maps and a splintered community. Paid map packs split the community between gamers willing to spend extra on DLC and those who only purchased the base game. Without a doubt, this is undeniably a great change for the series. This system, which you can purchase in order to earn cosmetic rewards via gameplay, replaces both paid map pack DLC and Supply Drops. #MODERN WARFARE 2 SURVIVAL MODE PS4# Survival mode is the only PS4 exclusive content this time around.Īnother step in the right direction for Modern Warfare is the new Battle Pass system, similar to what you can find in Fortnite and Apex Legends, among other games. There have been a number of rumors about BR coming to Modern Warfare, but it definitely won’t be at launch.ģ. You can still play Battle Royale in Blackout, Black Ops 4’s BR mode, and in Call Of Duty: Mobile. They’re also timed.įinally, Survival mode is a wave-based co-op mode that’s exclusive to PS4 for an entire year (yuck).Īs of this time, there is no official announcement of a Battle Royale mode coming to Modern Warfare. Missions are shorter stages designed to be played over and over again. Operations are multi-stage co-op outings where you can use custom loadouts and even vehicles, and approach each obstacle how you see fit. There will be several different types of Special Ops missions available. There’s also big team modes, ranging from 10 vs 10 all the way to 32 vs 32 “Ground War” mode which features vehicles and very, very large teams (at least by Call Of Duty standards).įinally, we have Special Ops, which is the game’s new cooperative mode, finally displacing Zombies for the first time since Call Of Duty: Ghosts. There are some twists this time around, however.įirst off, there’s the excellent new 2 vs 2 Gunfight mode, which pits two teams of two against one another in lightning fast rounds with pre-generated loadouts. Multiplayer is your traditional Call Of Duty MP with modes like Domination, TDM and Kill Confirmed. These three modes tick three boxes: Solo play, competitive multiplayer and co-operative play. Three game modes will be available at launch: Campaign, Multiplayer and Special Ops. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Credit: Infinity Ward
